NCFE CACHE Level 2 Understanding Children and Young People`s Mental Health

Mental ill health among children and young people is increasing.

Young people also  suffer from  diagnoseable mental health conditions, such as anxiety, conduct disorder and depression, with recent figures suggesting that this affects one in eight people aged 5yrs to 19yrs.

Therefore, support and understanding is vital for children and young adults. Three in four children and young people with a diagnosable mental health condition will not access the support they need .

This course will help and increase the candidates` awareness and knowledge of Children and Young Peoples Mental Health and explore an individuals vulnerability to developing mental ill health.
Vigilance , care and compassion can support individuals to successfully deal with challenges they face.

The course content for Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health consists of 5 units in 2 concise Modules

Module A : Unit 1 Understanding Children and young people`s mental health in context

                     Unit 2 The factors that may affect children and young people`s mental health

Module B : Unit 3 Understanding Children and young people`s mental health concerns

                     Unit 4 The impact of  Children and young people`s mental health concerns

                    Unit 5 How to support Children and young people`s mental health concerns
