NCFE Level 2 Certificate in the Safe Handling of Medication in Health and Social Care
In relation to the administration of medicines, poor practice can lead to serious errors being made and ultimately cause injury to people using health and social care services. This qualification aims to develop learners’ knowledge of safe handling of medicines within a health and social care environment. The course explores the procedures for obtaining, storing and disposing of medicines and the legislation surrounding these areas. It also examines the learners’ responsibility in relation to this, the audit process and, emphasising the importance of confidentiality and accountability.
